LP students have been working on their music tracking skills in Mrs. Fackelman's room! 2nd graders have been tracking icon notation with their eyes and body percussion moves, as well as tracking music on the board with a pointer in front of their peers. By building these skills year after year, 4th graders are able to track notation independently on the music staff while making observations and connections to the melodic contour of "The Star Spangled Banner" in relation to what they hear. Way to go, musicians! 🐾🎶 #CougarsCan

Our LP third graders celebrated International Dot Day with author and illustrator Peter H. Reynolds! Students joined a virtual Zoom celebration, learned about the message behind The Dot, and created their own artwork while being reminded that everyone can “make their mark.” It was a fun and inspiring way to celebrate creativity, courage, and individuality!

Botanists at LP! 2nd graders from Ms.Keogh, Ms. Esandrio, and Mrs. Drozd classes teamed up to participate in a Science Experiment! Students worked together to “plant" their soil, spread their seeds, and water their plants! Students were able to record their observations in their Plant Observation Journal.

Did you know that 4th graders at LP have jobs at our school? Our students have the opportunity to support our school by completing tasks that help all of us. Alonso, Liam and Madison are "Flag Raisers." They are responsible for raising and lowering the flag each day. Mrs. DeLuca, a retired teacher and volunteer, is teaching them the proper ways to care for our flag.

Today, Livingston Park students learned about our Cougar PRIDE values. When students demonstrate peacefulness, determination, inclusivity, determination and excellence, they are recognized for their "pawsome" behavior! Teachers and students collaborated to teach everyone what Cougar Pride looks like in the classroom, at recess, on the bus, and even in the bathroom! All year, we will celebrate our students making good choices and being great citizens at school.
