Project ASSIST

Project Assist is a program offered to support students in in Language Arts. It is tailored for students who are in need of further reinforcement of skills in reading and writing as well as for test preparation.

This school year students in Project Assist benefit from the rotation of SRA Reading Laboratory from McGraw Hill, Study Island and SuccessMaker. Instruction is based on individual students needs while a sense of responsibility is encouraged through independent work.

Project Assist is offered on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon from 3:40 to 4:40 PM between the months of December through April.

Bus transportation will be provided or you may pick up your child.

Please note, if your child is not picked up by 4:40 pm, we will place your child in the district’s LEAL program and LEAL will charge you a fee for the first 15 minutes and then $1 per minute thereafter. LEAL will offer a special registration fee for students who need LEAL after completion of our WISE program. If you would like to take advantage of the LEAL program, please notify your child’s classroom teacher and we will send you a registration form. You should also check off the Go to LEAL on the enclosed Registration Form if your child will attend LEAL.

As with all school activities, we expect that your child will follow the school bus code of conduct and rules. We also expect that your child will attend the program every day that we meet unless he/she is not in school. Our teachers are committed to the success of all students and we know that with your help, our students will achieve.
